06/11/11: Wideopen 5-3 Hexham

Well what can I say other than well done lads the performance of the season. From the start we played great football linking up well all over the pitch putting Hexham under pressure at the back, only for the bad luck we've been carrying all season to strike again. 3 goals down at half time - miss hits and bad touches to blame. Only deference this time are heads stay up and stay positive. Second half saw more of the same dominating the the game until Lewis Gray got chopped down for a penalty kick with 10 mins to go. Ryan Gray converted leading to a tense last 8 or 9 mins. Again we put the pressure on scoring 2 quick goals to set up extra time. First half both teams battled hard but no score, leaving a tense second half . The moment we've been waiting for all season - a bit of luck - a great cross from Nael Pitt from the touchline inside our half touched off a Hexham player and into the back of the net giving us a deserved lead with only minutes left. Hexham threw everything  they had at us but left themselves open at the back allowing Lewis Gray to break free with the last play of the game to round the keeper and get the 5th goal . WELL DONE LADS, GREAT TEAM PERFORMANCE.
