Lockey Park Changing Rooms

 

The Wideopen Juniors Lockey Park development has taken a long time to achieve. However, now that it is in regular use, it has been well worth the wait. The first set of photographs below show the old tin huts that Wideopen had as changing rooms - no electricity or water! The second set of photographs show the building as it was going up.

On the day of the keys being handed over, there was lots to do to get the building ready and plenty of hands to help (even if some seemed to be taking it apart first!)

Finally, there was the official opening on Wednesday 5th September 2007. Guests of Honour were John Harrison, Mayor of North Tyneside and Peter Beardsley, ex-Newcastle and England player.

Family Fun Day, Lockey Park
Saturday 8th September 2007

This was a huge success and many players, parents, families and friends came to join in the fun. Everyone also had a chance to look around the new building at Lockey Park.
